This Was Hard For Me To Tell

I have been staying up real late
Trying to tell you who I am
But it is not coming out right
So I will just say it here
Here right in this poem for you
If you have questions do ask them
This is hard for me to tell

This is hard for me to tell
So I will wast no more time
I will just come out with it
I feel that I have no congruence
My sex is different from my gender
I was born with male sex parts
This is hard for me to tell

Well it has not been that easy
Hearing what a man should be, do
I am not a man, never was
And I made a pretty silly boy
Yeah you probably figured it out now
Yeah I identify as a transgender female
This is hard for me to tell

This is hard for me to tell
So I will wast no more time
I will just come out with it
Please use the female pronouns for me
‘Cause I am no ones son but
Rather I am someone’s daughter, someone’s sister
This is hard for me to tell

Yeah you probably figured it out now
Yeah I identify as a transgender female
If you have questions do ask them
‘Cause I would appreciate if you used
The female pronouns for me and made
An effort to understand and except me
This is hard for me to tell

This was hard for me to tell
