Given It All Of My Best

I’ve gone and given it all of my best
And no this ain’t my time to go rest
‘Cause you went set me loss on a quest
A free and responsible search for truth and meaning
As a result I now have a spiritual leaning
For depth in our Sunday morning worship services see
‘Cause I’ve already had religious introductions given to me
‘Bought things from Judaism to human sexuality in RE
So I wanna take it to the next level
And this might get me perceived as a rebel
But I don’t think I’m alone on this here
‘Cause fellow raised UUs that I’ve conversed do appear
To desire more ritual in worship like I’d here
As you may have guessed I’m saying to watch
What could be if we UUs turned up a notch
Even just one the depth of our religious thought
We’d have more I think staying here from young to old age
